Net zero Workshop
Committed to forging a sustainable future, Ambuja Neotia Group embraces the vision of achieving Net Zero for future citizens. We train school children on waste upscaling and recycling of domestic waste, aimed to instil eco-conscious habits early in life. This is a regular initiative with 30 students per group, happening in different schools around our business locations.
Plantation drive
Environmental impact & climate change are among the key sustainability risks to businesses and society. Afforestation is a key component of our CSR agenda to adopt sustainability as a way of life.
Collaborating with esteemed institutions in Rajarhat and Mukundapur, the Group also adopts afforestation programmes for a greener future. Our plantation initiatives, which commenced in 2012, have resulted in the growth of over 6,500 trees to date.
Rainwater harvesting initiative
With the target to utilizing rainwater, we have initiated a rainwater harvesting project in a govt school in Kolkata. Work has just began and after completion, not a drop of rain will be wasted. The collected water will be stored underground and will be utilized for cooking midday meals, gardening and in the washrooms while ensuring that the ground water gets recharged.
